Without having realized it, I had slowly put my we Without having realized it, I had slowly put my well-being to the side. My priorities had shifted to things they shouldn't have shifted to. 

"I'm too busy."
"I'm too busy to make a healthy meal."
"I'm too busy to exercise."
"I'm too busy to pray, meditate, and reflect." 

The list went on.
The excuses went on. 

But with the spring came a new beginning. 

And I made myself a promise. 

To take better care of myself. 
To love myself.
To know and understand my worth.
To be joyful, so I can spread that joy. 

Because what you choose to focus on, will be what grows. 

So today I'm feeling especially grateful for the spring, and the awakening it brought with it ♡
You think you're over being homesick. But it hits You think you're over being homesick. But it hits you all of a sudden. Like a rock being thrown at a mirror. One moment it's whole. But the next, it shatters. You shatter. And you're left wondering how you can start picking up the pieces again. 

Being away from home, away from family and friends, especially during the week leading up to Naw-Rúz (Persian/Bahá'í new year) is hitting hard this year. 

The mirror shattered. 

But I'm picking up the pieces. 

And it will be okay.
